Exhibition designers wanted

The three appointed exhibition designers will now need some understanding of the work that might be included in the exhibition. To help them, please post the following:

  • Five key words describing your practice / project.

  • One sentence describing the aims of the work you might display.

  • One sentence describing roughly where and what your display could look like (e.g. a white-walled gallery exhibition of 10 small framed prints).

  • Two images that best illustrate your practice.

  • Five key words describing your practice / project.

Historical, Nostalgia, Memories, Creative, Portraiture

  • One sentence describing the aims of the work you might display.

To bring to life the mood and scene of the past using modern techniques with a value of nostalgia.

White wall Gallery single room in a building that is 18th Century, One wall center large piece, three walls various sizes and quantities. Window on to the street with a picture on the easel.

  • Two images that best illustrate your practice.

I still struggle to describe my practice. I guess that just means I am still developing. I didn't offer to be a designer. I still feel too inadequate. I wish I could help my self worth. I do feel I wouldn't offer myself up because I don't feel I know enough about exhibitions. I couldn't even describe a curators role without googling it first. I am sure by the end of the MA I will be more than ready to understand how to get my work in the public eye.
